Rajma Recipe also known as Rajma Masala is a North Indian curried dish made with kidney beans, onions, tomatoes, spices and herbs.
INGREDIENTS
Rajma
1 cup
salt
to taste
boiling water (do not put in BlendJet)
4 Cups
vegetable oil
2 Tbsp
onions, chopped
2
roma tomatoes
4
garlic
3-4 pods
ginger
1-2 pieces
red chili powder
1 tsp
Haldi
1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp
Dhaniya
to Garnish

Instructions
- Soak Rajma for 3-4 Hours.
- Transfer them into a pressure cooker, along with 4x water and a pinch of salt.
- Cook for 2-3 whistles on high heat, simmer for 15 minutes. Let pressure release naturally.
- Meanwhile, in BlendJet, add onions, garlic, ginger and tomatoes. Blend to a paste.
- In a pan, heat oil and add the paste.
- Add chilli powder, salt, haldi and garam masala.
- Mix well, let cook covered on simmer for 20-30 minutes until oil separates.
- Add the cooked masala into the pressure cooker to the boiled rajma.
- Mix and pressure cook again for 2-3 whistles on high heat.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve with rice and onions.
