INGREDIENTS

  • Rajma

    1 cup

  • salt

    to taste

  • boiling water (do not put in BlendJet)

    4 Cups

  • vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

  • onions, chopped

  • roma tomatoes

    4

  • garlic

    3-4 pods

  • ginger

    1-2 pieces

  • red chili powder

    1 tsp

  • Haldi

    1/2 Tsp

  • Garam Masala

    1/2 Tsp

  • Dhaniya

    to Garnish

    Instructions

    1. Soak Rajma for 3-4 Hours.
    2. Transfer them into a pressure cooker, along with 4x water and a pinch of salt.
    3. Cook for 2-3 whistles on high heat, simmer for 15 minutes. Let pressure release naturally.
    4. Meanwhile, in BlendJet, add onions, garlic, ginger and tomatoes. Blend to a paste.
    5. In a pan, heat oil and add the paste.
    6. Add chilli powder, salt, haldi and garam masala.
    7. Mix well, let cook covered on simmer for 20-30 minutes until oil separates.
    8. Add the cooked masala into the pressure cooker to the boiled rajma.
    9. Mix and pressure cook again for 2-3 whistles on high heat.
    10. Garnish with coriander. Serve with rice and onions.
